Two-headed deer has puzzled scientists

Two-headed deer has puzzled scientists

A Minnesota resident saw on the outskirts of the forest a strange creature and decided to follow him. To the horror and surprise of the man the creature (already dead by that time) turned out to be a two-headed deer.
Apparently, the small creature lost its way in the forest and lost its parents. Scientists have never seen anything like this before: in the wild, Siamese twins generally are extremely rare.

Already in the clinic it was found out that the backbone of the animal bifurcated in the thoracic department and from it two necks with separate heads grow.

A similar anomaly is more common in domestic animals. In the wild since 1671 there were recorded only 19 cases of such mutations.
